Allyson Felix
Allyson Michael Felix is an Los Angeles native born on November 18th, 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister ordained at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a primary school teacher in Balboa Magnet. Felix was an athlete of the highest level and developed a passion for sprinting in the sprints at Los Angeles Baptist High School. After a few weeks of the first time she tried out the sport, she finished second for 200m in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix was a high school graduate when she graduated from school in 2003, signed an agreement with Adidas. She then was accepted into an institution called the University of Southern California and pursued a degree in elementary education. One year later Felix was awarded the first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece breaking the world junior record taking 200 metres in 22.18 seconds. She became the youngest world winner in the 200m in the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007 by beating her time-tested Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix was a frequent competitor at Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro, as well as Tokyo. She was consistently at the top of the podium in all events.
